I began broadcasting on CSR 97.4FM on the very first day it went on air. To be more specific, I was the first voice on the first full day of broadcasting and since I’ve wanted nothing more than to be involved in the radio industry. Originally due to inexperience with live shows I decided to join the news department, where I worked for 6 months presenting 3 slots. I then moved on to getting my first show, Idle Talk, which went out on air Wednesdays at midnight. Joined by a very good friend of mine called Michael, we played a variety of different genres, as well as have live guests on the show. Most notably was Sam Issac who now is often seen gracing many festival stages.

Now into CSR’s second year of broadcasting I’m on the air even more with 3 new shows.

Tuesday 11am-1pm

The Daytime Show. A show with possibly the most unimaginative name ever to have graced the airwaves. Here I spend 2 hours playing the latest chart music in what is a heavily playlisted show, determined by what people are listening to.

Wednesday 12pm-2am

Idle Talk. The first show I was given is still alive and kicking, still presented by Michael and myself. With a loyal following of listeners week in and week out we still get more emails than most daytime shows and we play the most varied selection of music on a show. Nu-rave portion of the show anyone?
